On March 26, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK hosted an evening in London dedicated to Portugal as a destination for relocation, healthcare and long term living. Serenity was invited to take part alongside the Chamber's own Moving to Portugal initiative, sharing what coordinated healthcare looks like for families making that move.
The room brought together a mix of people already living between the two countries and others still weighing the decision, which made for a practical, grounded conversation rather than a purely promotional one. Questions ranged from insurance and specialist access to the more everyday concerns of settling somewhere new.
Why this conversation matters
Healthcare is rarely the first thing people think about when planning a move, and often the first thing they worry about once the move is already underway. Events like this one exist to close that gap, giving people direct access to answers before decisions are made rather than after.
"The best time to think about healthcare is before you need it, not during an emergency in an unfamiliar system."

Looking ahead
Serenity will continue supporting events like this one throughout the year, working alongside organizations such as the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK to make sure that families relocating to Portugal have a clear, honest picture of what coordinated care can look like for them.
